My practice specializes in treating individuals. I have extensive experience working with older adolescents and young adults, but I also enjoy working with many ages and life-stages. I am available to meet with individuals fifteen years and older.

Currently, I am not providing office-based sessions. I am meeting with clients via telehealth only. My virtual office location is in Hibbing, and I serve people within the Iron Range area, as well as greater Minnesota. As I become available to provide in-office therapy, I will update the website to indicate more about the office hours and location. I look forward to working face-to-face in the near future with clients who prefer an in-person option.

Telehealth appointments can be accessible and convenient, allowing for therapy with clients via live video conferencing. Therapy can be done from anywhere with a computer or smartphone.
Barriers:
A common barrier is access to technology. Another challenge to Telehealth is concerns about privacy and security. Privacy and consistent Internet connection are important considerations.
Our sessions are HIPPA compliant, secure, and confidential and are not recorded.

While therapists may not always possess specialized training in a specific therapy method beyond the comprehensive training required for clinical licensing and graduate-level education, they still undergo significant training to provide effective therapy.
To assist you in finding a therapist who aligns with your needs, I have included relevant links and highlighted information on different therapy styles. These resources can aid you in identifying therapists who have undergone additional training in particular therapy methods and are considered experts in those approaches.
While I prioritize the therapeutic relationship as the primary source of healing in psychotherapy, I also believe in empowering clients through psycho-education. By providing information on various mental health services and different therapy approaches, clients can make informed decisions about their care.
If you have a specific type of therapy in mind, it may be beneficial to seek out a mental health professional who has received extensive training in that particular approach. Currently, I am pursuing advanced training in Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy (EFP), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), and Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR).
Remember, finding the right therapist is a collaborative process, and it's crucial to work with someone who meets your specific needs and preferences.
